Sam is an experienced accounting professional in the alternative investments industry.

Prior to joining Caprice, Sam was the Manager of Fund Operations and Reporting at K2 Advisors, a subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments and one of the largest fund of funds in the United States, with nearly $11 billion in AUM. Focused on the trading funds product line, Sam was responsible for managing the middle-office and back-office operations for multiple funds, with a combined AUM of over $2 billion.

Prior to joining K2, Sam was a Controller at Agile Fund Solutions (acquired by E78 Partners), a provider of outsourced CFO, COO, CCO services to boutique hedge funds ranging from $5 million to $500 million in AUM. At Agile, Sam was involved in all aspects of his clients’ business, including operations, accounting, compliance, and marketing.

Sam also spent time at KPMG as an auditor in their banking practice. Sam graduated from Fairfield University with a B.S in Accounting and a B.A in Economics, as well as an M.S in Accounting. Sam is an active Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York. He resides in Stamford, CT with his wife and his rescue dog, Fenway.
